Blakkwuman22 Music will be hosting the BLAKKOUT TOUR (Jamaica Edition) in April 2015. The tour will see various artists going across the island of Jamaica performing at different venues. BW22 artist Karamanti is confirmed for all the shows on this tour. Soul singer Asante Amen is also confirmed for all shows. More information will be coming as we continue to put the event together.

Recording artist Asha Heights and CEO of Righteous Youths Records has released a very powerful rhythm driven project called Heights Riddim. The album features the likes of Queen Ifrica, Fantan Mojah, Karamanti and himself Asha Heights among others.
Heights Riddim is an authentic roots Reggae compilation that completely represents the heart of Jamaica’s Reggae culture. Persons may listen to a medley mix of the Heights Riddim here:
One of the songs that have got Dancehall enthusiasts recently more interested in brand Karamanti is the track “Big Woman Ting [RedBoom Mix]”. The reason the song has gotten so much attention is because it is very different from anything Karamanti has ever done. Anyone who follows her career knows that Karamanti is usually all about social commentary but on this record she is in hot pursuit of a guy who she hopes to get.
On the track Karamanti says “so me a talk my mind, da man ya cute and ye him have di wickedest smile, a African so yu know a just my type, him know bout mi hustle ye him know bout mi grind, mmm mmm”. Once radio DJs and bloggers heard the lyrics they were all wondering if it was really Karamanti. Not making a big deal, the artist contends that she is simply showing her lyrical diversity. DJs and sound systems have been noticing and many have requested the song in dubplate style.
The track was produced by an up and coming African producer but with it being mixed and mastered by one of Jamaica’s best, Red Boom, it sounds like something from the heart of Kingston.
