Several weeks ago Karamanti was interviewed by Tony Singh for The Rock Sutra, a program that airs on Rukus Avenue Radio. That conversation is scheduled to be transmitted this Sunday, February 14th at 11:00 PM PST.
Karamanti is currently writing for her new album, which she hopes to have out before the Summer of 2021. Though the project does not yet have an official title, it is expected to cover several genres: reggae, dancehall, poetry, afrobeat and world music.
Unlike her last album, which was done with one producer, this new record will feature rhythms from several beat makers, with the overall production by Blakkwuman22 Music (Karamanti’s record label).
As for the theme, a definitive one has not yet been determined, but knowing Karamanti it will if nothing else be thought-provoking.
Jamaican dancehall artist Karamanti has started 2021 with the release of a catchy new afrobeat song, titled “Mi Nuh Bow.” The track was recorded some time ago, but because of everything that was happening with covid-19 last year she decided to sit on it.
“Mi Nuh Bow,” which is on Karamanti’s own Blakkwuman22 Music label, can be downloaded from both bandcamp and soundcloud.

As 2020 comes to an end, I think the consensus is that it’s been one of the most difficult year in more than a decade. We were all challenged spiritually, mentally, emotionally and of course physically.
We must remember however, that though the calendar year has changed, the truth is no one knows what 2021 will bring. What I do know is that we all should be grateful that we are still here; and we should make a real effort to spend more time with our love-ones.
One of the things that has been re-enforced to me personally is the fact that life is not a dress-rehearsal. In other words; we should be using our time to do the things we genuinely enjoy and spending time with the people we sincerely care about.
With that said, I have been in the studio working on new music for an album I intend to release this year. I am also sharing the download link to a brand new single called “Mi Nuh Bow,” that I’ve been sitting on for a few months. Keep in mind that this track will not be on the new album.
